#2025-82414/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0611 hours, SPD officers responded to investigate a carjacking in progress. Upon arrival, SPD officers interviewed the victim as follows. The victim was outside of his car when the suspect assaulted him while demanding the key to his car. The suspect grabbed a key ring on the victim’s body, entered the victim’s vehicle, and attempted to start with negative results. The suspect fled the scene after the robbery. Another caller called 911 to report the same suspect who assaulted a construction employee at a nearby construction site. Officers conducted an area check when multiple callers reported the same suspect had entered the Coleman Dock. This time, the suspect assaulted a female employee and demanded her keys. The suspect then approached multiple parked vehicles at the Coleman Dock. The suspect successfully entered one parked vehicle before he was detained by Coleman Dock security. Upon further investigation, the suspect was booked for Robbery (2 counts), Assault, and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Robbery screened the incident. Unit 211 was advised of the incident.
#2025-82370/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 0424 hours, Officers responded to Harbor Island to the assist SFD at the scene of a semi-tractor on fire. One tractor was fully ablaze and one next to it was damaged severely. Officers provided traffic control for SFD while they put out the fire. SFD informed Officers that the Fire Marshall would be responding. It was unknown what started the fire and there was no evidence at the time to ascertain what caused the fire. It was updated that the Fire Marshall screened the incident and was not responding. The incident was then screened with SPD ABS. It was determined that they also would not respond to the scene. The burned-out truck was impounded and SDOT responded for the fluid spill.
#2025-82454/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0730 hours, multiple 911 callers reported a male with a machete chasing people after a vehicle collision near NW 100 ST and 12 AV NW. The suspect fled the scene prior to Officers arrival. While conducting an area check, a nearby resident called 911 after seeing an unknown male attempting to enter her neighbor’s vacant residence. Officers contacted the suspect, and he was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. A type 2 UOF investigation was completed. 231 and Robbery were notified. Suspect was booked into KCJ for Investigation of Robbery (Carjacking) after being medically cleared.
#2025-83014/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1807 hours, Officers were dispatched to a suicide call in Nora sector. The subject went onto the train tracks and was struck by an oncoming train. SFD and BNSF Personnel responded to the scene. The railroad was shut down for several hours. Incident screened with TCIS. PIO Notified.
#2025-83303/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2322 hours, a 911 call was made regarding shots fired. Officers responded to Roosevelt WY N / Midvale AV N and canvassed the area. No damage was located. Officers did locate 3 9mm FCC. Photographs of scene were taken and the evidence collected. One of the callers had video from their security camera. Axon Link sent.
#2025-83368/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0122 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired. Officers responded and located what appeared to a be a victim that was bleeding heavily from the face. After several iterations of the story, it was determined that the subject arrived home with his girlfriend. There 3-4 other males outside the house that began to “hit on his girlfriend”. He went inside his house to get his handgun to scare them away. He chased them down the street with the firearm and shot one round into the air. He then put the gun on the ground and began to physically fight them. He ultimately lost the fight and was on the ground bleeding when the other subjects picked up his gun and ran away with it. 2 casings and several unused rounds were located. GVRU and 243 were notified, patrol processed the scene.
