#2025-106955/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0013 hours, a bar called to report a male had damaged property and angrily threatened the bartender. He was told to leave after forcibly grabbing two patrons inappropriately and reacted by ripping a keg out from behind the bar and charging the staff. Staff armed themselves with a baseball bat and chased him off. Officers located the suspect driving away and stopped him, with witnesses identifying him. Suspect, who has prior felony DUI conviction, was impaired and did not have an IIL as required. Officers arrested him for threats, indecent liberties, DUI, and IIL. Suspect refused a breath test. No phlebotomists were available, so he was transported to a hospital. While at the hospital, he told officers that he would not be letting anyone take his blood. He attempted to stand up and kicked an officer. He was booked into King County Jail.
#2025-105017/ West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 2000 hours, 200+ street racers converged at several locations throughout Seattle and were immediately disrupted by police presence at every attempted takeover. The Criminal Intelligence Unit became aware of a potential street racer takeover event on Friday April 19th. The unit monitored two groups who met in Everett then made their way to Seattle. Intel coordinated with the Everett Police Department and Washington State Patrol regarding the activity. Intel coordinated with CRG and Patrol (task force lieutenant) to provide real-time information on the group activity and locations. The groups gathered at Lumen Field, Costco, Pier 55, and Home Depot, before their final location in Tukwila. CRG and West Precinct Patrol officers flooded the areas to disrupt illegal takeovers. Several vehicles were stopped for a variety of traffic violations. Intel advised Tukwila Police, who monitored the group in their jurisdiction. Intel will conduct the follow-up investigation and issue infractions for street racing where appropriate.
#2025-107089/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0600 hours, the victim was walking to work towards Pier 91 around 0500 hours. Prior to walking across the W Galer Street Flyover bridge two individuals exited a gray pick-up truck and approached him asking if he wanted to purchase jewelry. When the victim said declined, the subjects proceeded to assault the victim by punching him multiple times in the face. After he fell to the ground the subjects went through his pant pockets and removed cash from his person. The subjects were last observed southbound on Elliott Ave W in the vehicle they arrived in. The victim walked back home, and a family member gave him a ride to work. Port of Seattle contacted SPD and SFD. Significant time delay. The area checked clear of suspects.
#2025-West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1100 hours, Uniformed and plainclothes patrol officers conducted a shoplifting enforcement operation at a Q-Sector business targeted by frequent thefts. With cooperation from business employees, officers arrested five shoplifters. Two suspects were declined by King County Jail medical staff, and the remaining three were booked into KCJ.
