
Seattle police detectives are investigating a shooting in South Seattle this afternoon that left one teen injured.
At 1:12 p.m., patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Rainier Avenue South. They found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the pelvis area.
Police and the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) provided medical treatment to the victim. SFD transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious, but stable condition.
The victim and two other boys were at a gas station when he was shot by two suspects on a lime scooter. One of the boys returned gunfire. Shortly thereafter, two of the boys left in a vehicle, leaving the victim behind.
The suspects fled on the scooter before police arrived, and officers have not located them. No arrests were made.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded to process the scene. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
