#2025-110142/West Precinct/First Watch/M3:
At 0732 hours, during the search incident to arrest of a shoplift suspect, the suspect bit the officer in the leg (no injury) and proceeded to kick him in the groin while being placed into the patrol car. The suspect will be booked for Inv Assault after his medical decline. Chain of command notified.
#2025-110274/North Precinct/First Watch/U1:
At 1012 hours, officers were dispatched to the reported location for shots heard. Callers reported a shot came from the alley. One witness heard a single gunshot and a physical disturbance. Multiple callers saw 3-4 people fighting in the alley before the group moved to the street, where a man with a pole smashed a car windshield. Officers recovered one 9mm shell casing and one unfired round. A truck and a car sustained property damage. No injuries were reported.
#2025-110248/East Precinct/First Watch/C2:
At 0950 hours, officers responded to a criminal trespass at a playfield. The suspect had been previously trespassed before and had fought with officers at that location on the building’s roof in a previous incident. Officers also confirmed the suspect had a misdemeanor no bail warrant prior to contact. The suspect resisted arrest and bit two officers. Taser was deployed and the suspect was taken into custody without further altercation. Officers and suspect were treated on scene for minor injuries. Type 2 and 1 initiated, screened with FIT and 241. Suspect will be booked for the warrant, assault 3, and trespass.
#2025-110343/East Precinct/Second Watch/E2:
At 1126 hours, officers responded to a strong-arm robbery report near a local college at the intersection of Minor Avenue and Broadway. Upon arrival, they contacted the victim and a witness, which led to the development of probable cause for second-degree robbery. The officers, along with the K9 unit, spotted an individual matching the suspect’s description at 12th Avenue and Jackson Street. They detained the person and conducted a field show-up, where the witness positively identified the suspect. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to King County Jail for booking.
#2025-110338/East Precinct/Second Watch/G2:
At 1108 hours, officers responded to a suspicious call at a local high school located near 23rd Avenue and East Jefferson Street. An unknown youth local gang was reportedly targeting students at the school and had posted on social media that they planned to “target” several students after the sixth period. While no specific threats were made and it was unclear if weapons were involved, several officers logged in for a directed patrol at the high school to increase police presence. School security has been informed about the situation.
#2025-110624/South Precinct/Second Watch/ R1:
At 1540 hours, the victim exited a Meto bus in front of her apartment complex and was confronted by her ex-boyfriend, who she has an active DV court order against which prohibits him from contacting her. The suspect followed her into her apartment complex and then into her apartment. While there, the suspect began to assault her. The victim (acting in self-defense) retrieved her pistol and shot the suspect in his leg. The suspect fled the apartment and went outside to the street. The suspect called 911 and waited for the police. Officers arrived along with SFD. The suspect was transported to HMC by Medic 1 in stable condition. He was placed under arrest at HMC and is currently under hospital guard. The DV Unit was notified and screened the incident.
#2025-110819/South Precinct/Second Watch/K1:
At 1913 hours, in front of a local shelter, the suspect approached the male victim and stabbed him. Two female companions of the victim chased the suspect from the scene. One of the female companions caught up to the suspect, and the suspect stabbed her. Officers located the suspect and arrested him. A show up was conducted with positive results. Both victims were transported to HMC. The suspect was booked into KCJ.
#2025-110508/West Precinct/Second Watch/K3:
At 1403 hours, citizens called 911 to report that the abandoned building located at 410 7th Ave S was crumbling. The building is approximately 10 stories tall. SFD responded to the scene. The roof and the outer facade of the building was crumbling, and large pieces of the building were landing on the sidewalk and roadway. The sidewalk and part of the roadway was closed down. This situation appears to be a long-term project.
#2025-110704/South Precinct/Third Watch/R2:
At 1650 hours, at a DESC building, a neighbor of the victim forced their way into the victim’s apartment, displayed what was believed to be a firearm at their waist and demanded money from the victim. The victim feared for their life so subsequently gave the suspect what money they had. The suspect returned to their apartment only to again bang on the victim’s door a couple of hours later while demanding more money. This event was captured on security video. PC for arrest was developed. A search warrant was produced. HNT assisted and was able to eventually talk the suspect out of their apartment for a peaceful surrender. A lighter bearing an incredibly close resemblance to a real handgun and a cap gun were recovered from the scene. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Robbery 1. Robbery, SWAT and 213 were all notified.
