Police Arrest Two During Belltown Proactive Patrols, Recover Guns, Drugs, and Cash

Seattle police arrested two men, 29 and 40 years old, for drug crimes and recovered narcotics, cash, and a gun during proactive patrols in Belltown this week.

On April 29, at about 9 a.m., patrol officers saw the 40-year-old suspect doing selling drugs near 2nd Avenue and Blanchard Street. The man walked away and shortly after officers found him getting out of nearby vehicle.

Officers arrested him for Violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substances Act (VUCSA). The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from carrying a firearm, was armed with a loaded gun. Officers also arrested for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the 29-year-old driver, known to law enforcement, with a $15,000 VUCSA warrant. During the stop, they saw suspected Fentanyl inside the car and impounded it pending a search warrant.

Officers recovered 154.8 grams of various narcotics from the suspects:

  • 77.5g of Fentanyl
  • 16g of Crack Cocaine
  • 15.1g of Heroin
  • 46.2g of Methamphetamine
  • 10 blue M-30 pills (Fentanyl)
  • .25 Caliber Handgun
  • $597 Cash

Police booked the suspects into the King County Jail. On April 30, they searched the car once the warrant was signed by a judge. Police recovered:

  • $982 Cash
  • 3.2g of Fentanyl

Detectives in the Narcotics Unit are assigned to this case.
