At 1909 hours, officers responded to the report of a male threatening people with a makeshift knife and cutting himself. Officers arrived in the area and located the subject; he was given lawful orders to drop the knife and get on the ground. The subject opted to run from officers with the knife in his hand towards a group of citizens. Type 2 force was used to stop the subject. He was placed into custody and was transported to Harbor View for self-inflicted wounds to his arm. He was later booked into King County Jail for harassment, illegal possession of weapons and obstruction.
