Seattle police officers are investigating after a 59-year-old man was stabbed in the North Beacon Hill neighborhood this evening.
At about 8:20 p.m., patrol officers responded to Beacon Avenue South and 15th Avenue South and found the victim on a King County Metro Coach. The Seattle Fire Department treated the victim for a stab wound in his buttocks. An American Medical Response ambulance transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Police determined that the victim and suspect, both acquaintances, were drinking alcohol behind a gas station near 14th Avenue South and South Bayview Street. While partaking in their beverages, they got into a verbal argument and the suspect stabbed the victim.
Officers set up a security perimeter around the area for a K9 scent track. However, the K9 team could not conduct the search due to the highly populated area. Officers did not locate the suspect.
If anyone has information, they are asked to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
