
Seattle police arrested a 37-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man early Thursday morning following a stabbing in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
At 12:11 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing near 10th Avenue and East Pike Street. They found an adult male victim with stab wounds to his stomach, arm, and back. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Witnesses reported an altercation between several men during which the female suspect stabbed the victim. She then fled the scene with the male suspect. Officers quickly apprehended the man and caught the woman after a short foot chase. Before fleeing, the female suspect reportedly threw the knife into nearby bushes. Officers recovered the weapons shortly afterwards.
Detectives from the Homicide and Assault Unit are leading the investigation.
Police book the woman into King County Jail for investigation of assault. Officers will book the male suspect on additional charges.
