Update: Third Gunshot Victim Connected to 3rd and James Shooting

At 1:51 p.m., officers responded to assist Seattle Fire Department with a man with a suffering from a gunshot wound gunshot wound in the 200 block of James Street. Police arrived and found a 54-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right leg. Seattle Fire Department personnel medical provided aid and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

The man told officers he was sustained the injury during the June 11th shooting at 3rd Avenue and James Street.  

Homicide Unit detectives continue to their investigate and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Detectives investigate Shooting in Pioneer Square

Seattle Police detectives are investigating a shooting in Pioneer Square that left a woman in critical condition and a man seriously injured.

At 5:11 p.m., dispatchers received reports of gunfire near 3rd Avenue and James Street. Seattle Police officers arrived alongside King County Sheriff’s deputies and found a woman with a gunshot wound to the head and a man with a gunshot wound to the foot.

Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and provided aid. Medics transported both victims to Harborview Medical Center, where the woman remains in critical condition and the man is in serious condition.

Police arrested the suspect at the scene without incident.

Detectives determined that an altercation occurred shortly before the shooting. The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation and will determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
