Police Investigating Shooting in Belltown

Seattle police officers are investigating after a woman was shot in Belltown last night.

On June 17, at about 11:20 p.m., patrol officers responded to 2nd Avenue and Bell Street where the Seattle Fire Department were treating the victim, who sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to her arm.

An American Medical Response ambulance transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

Police determined that the woman, experiencing homelessness, was shot just South of 2nd Avenue and Bell Street by an apparently small caliber bullet. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Police did not locate any suspects or make any arrests.
