#2025-171405/East Precinct/Third Watch/E1:

At 02010 hours, Dick’s on Broadway called 911 to report a male yelled anti-Black slurs at customers and street musicians before producing an 8-inch fixed-blade knife and making threats toward one Black male at the location. While the call was being broadcast, officers returning from assisting WSP with language translation arrived, detained the suspect, and recovered the knife. Witnesses and victim interviewed. Suspect is on Seattle City Attorney’s Office Hight Utilizer Offender List yet was declined at KCJ. 233 notified of incident.

#2025-171413/East Precinct/Third Watch/E2:

At 0237 hours, officers on-viewed a disturbance at Broadway and Pike Street. Two groups leaving Cultura nightclub had returned to vehicles and armed themselves with handguns. When officers attempted to break up the disturbance, an armed male who was pointed out by security as the firearm brandisher ran from the officers. A foot pursuit ensued, and the suspect ran to Cal Anderson Park while holding onto the firearm in his waistband. Officers took him into custody in the park and recovered the firearm. Suspect was booked for Brandishing, Obstruction, and Resisting. Firearm registered to suspect, who possesses a CPL.

#2025-171893/South Precinct/Second Watch/S2:

At 1511 hours, a Traffic motorcycle officer was on his way home after working the FIFA Club World Cup match at Lumen Field. While traveling on SB I-5 near the NB I-405 interchange, the vehicle in front of the motorcycle officer suddenly slowed down to avoiding being run off the road by another vehicle. With the damp roadway and vehicle suddenly slowing down, the motorcycle officer was unable to stop, and rear ended the vehicle. The motorcycle officer sustained minor injuries, and his motorcycle was towed from the scene. Washington State Patrol responded and investigated the collision.

#2025-171946/West Precinct/Second Watch/M2:

At 1610 hours, Officers received an informational broadcast that stolen property from ULTA-KIRKLAND was tracking to the area of 4th Av and Union St. Officers responded to the area, and with the assistance of ULTA security and SPD dispatch, began tracking the stolen items using a real time tracker. The tracker was on the move. ULTA provided photos and descriptions of the original suspects involved and advised $10,000 of product was stolen. As the tracker moved officers were able to pinpoint a location, and based on movement, and excellent observation skills, the officers spotted a suspect. A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle and the stolen items were in plain sight on the floorboard of the vehicle. The vehicle had travelled from the area of 4/Union and was stopped at 7th Av S. and Jackson St. (En route to 12/Jackson where many stolen items are sold). The ULTA tracker issued a loud sound, confirming the stolen ULTA items were in the vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into KCJ for FELONY TRAFFICKING OF STOLEN ITEMS. The vehicle was impounded to the VPR and a search warrant for the vehicle was written. No force was used by officers

#2025-172150/North Precinct/Third Watch/L1:

At 2022 hours, officers responded to a report of a burglary. Upon arrival they contacted the suspect, who fled on foot. Suspect was taken into custody. On transport to jail, suspect was able to bring his handcuffs in front of him, rip off bars on the patrol car door, and kick out the rear window. Suspect attempted to flee from patrol vehicle. Officers were quickly able to take him back into custody without further incident. During struggle, suspect attempted to bite officer’s arm. Bite was unsuccessful and officer suffered no injuries. Suspect later booked into KCJ.
