#2025-172502/North Precinct/First Watch/B1:

At 0805 hours, officers responded to a convenience store in the 3200 block of NW 54th St for an armed robbery. 4 males in their mid-teens to early 20’s, 3 of which armed with pistols and 1 armed with a broom, threatened the clerk and stole money from the cash register and tobacco products before fleeing. Area check negative. Robbery notified.

#2025-171987/East Precinct/Second Watch/E3:

At 1653 hours, police received a call by medical staff to take a child into protective custody due to their parent being referred to designated crisis responders for further mental health evaluation. Officers arrived around 18:30hrs to take the child into custody, but the parent refused to hand over the child. As hospital security and officers were trying to secure the parent, she attempted to disarm one of the officers of their firearm and the hospital security guard of their taser. The suspect was arrested for attempting to disarm a police officer and booked into KCJ. The child was safely taken into protective custody. CPS later took over custody of the child. No injuries during the time of the incident.

#2025-172563/West Precinct/First Watch/D3:

At 0954 hours, a PEO was in front of the West Precinct when he walked by the suspect, who was lying on the ground. The suspect spat on his leg and asked to be arrested for Assault 3. Officers responded and took the suspect into custody. While seated on the ground, the suspect spat on the arresting officer’s pant leg. A spit sock was applied, and the suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3. Type 1 UOF completed. No injuries or exposure to SPD personnel.

#2025-172517/South Precinct/First Watch/S3:

At 0830 hours, a homeowner in the 11000 block of 56 Ave S interrupted suspects in a vehicle stealing mail from the neighborhood. The homeowner gave chase in their vehicle and at some point, confronted the theft suspects, an altercation ensued, and the homeowner fired several shots. The unidentified thieves fled the scene. No injuries were reported, and no property damage was found. GVRU detectives responded and interviewed the homeowner. The investigation is ongoing.

#2025-172732/West Precinct/Second Watch/M1:

At 1400 hours, approximately 200 demonstrators using amplified sound equipment gathered unpermitted in Westlake Park. The group was uncooperative with POET’s attempts to dialogue. West Patrol provided a traffic light element and CRG provided 1 bike squad. SAT, POET, and 212 monitored the group until it disbanded after approximately 1 hour. No enforcement action was taken.

#2025-172937/West Precinct/Second Watch/D2:

At 1848 hours, a witness called 9-1-1 at West Precinct after seeing a vehicle collide and strike the unoccupied mobile precinct stationed at West Precinct. The witness was able to provide a driver description and vehicle information. Officers spoke with the witness and observed evident damage to the front bumper area of the mobile precinct. The officers then followed the last direction of travel and headed towards the suspect vehicle’s registered address – promptly locating the suspect vehicle with a flat tire and alcohol containers inside. The driver was observed to be impaired and under the influence and arrested without incident for DUI/Hit and Run. 212 screened the incident.
