
At 3:45 p.m. on June 27, dispatchers received a report of a stabbing in the 600 block of 3rd Avenue. Officers responded and found a 34-year-old man with a superficial stab wound to his left hand. Seattle Fire Department provided aid at the scene. The victim did not require hospitalization.
Officers learned that the victim and a 33-year-old man were roommates and had been arguing over a speaker before the incident. During the argument, the suspect cut the victim with what appeared to be a snap-blade knife and fled the scene with two of the victim’s cell phones.
Officers broadcast a description of the suspect. West Precinct patrol officers located him in the 80 block of Columbia Street, about two blocks from the scene. Officers took him into custody without incident. The suspect was positively identified, and officers recovered the weapon and both cell phones.
The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence assault.
