At 1646 hours, Officers responded to a business that had been robbed with a firearm last week. A witness believed that the suspect who robbed them had returned to the store. Officers arrived as the suspect was leaving in a vehicle. Officers pursued the vehicle. The suspect crashed the vehicle and fled on foot. He was eventually captured by responding Officers. The suspect was booked into King County Jail.
#2025-182177/West Precinct/Third Watch/D2:
At 2003 hours, Officers responded to a trespasser who was refusing to leave a business that had closed several hours prior. Officers arrived and gave the subject multiple opportunities to leave and explained that he would be arrested if he refused. Subject continued to refuse to leave and was placed under arrest. Suspect resisted handcuffing and struggled with officers who deployed a Taser and took him into custody. No officers injured. Suspect booked into KCJ.
#2025-182592/North Precinct/First Watch/B2:
At 0409 hours, officers responded to a Robbery/Stabbing in 300 block of 36th St. The victim reported that he was sleeping when a male stabbed him the chest as he demanded that the victim handover his belongings. The suspect left the area with the victim’s half used pack of cigarettes. The victims’ injuries were non-life threatening.
#2025-183331/North Precinct/Second Watch/N2:
At 1230 hours, the incident occurred a few days prior to reporting to SPD. (6/30) The subject was doing a phone conversation with supportive staff and out of nowhere stated racist language that African Americans need to be shot. The suspect was out of the city at the time of the threat as was the RP. She reported it to her supervisors who had them follow up with the subject the following day 7/1. Subject apologized and staff felt that there were no further issues. Subject has extensive mental health history where when he gets stressed out, he makes racist comments and threats.
