Seattle police detectives are investigating a shooting in the Chinatown-International District this afternoon.
At about 4:50 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. Officers located a man with a gunshot wound in the leg. The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) arrived and provided medical treatment to the victim. SFD transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police searched the area, yet they did not locate the suspects. No arrests were made. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation by detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit.
