Seattle police officers arrested four teens following an armed robbery of a 21-year-old man in Capitol Hill Sunday evening.
On June 29, at about 8:00 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of an assault in the 100 block of Broadway East. Officers arrived in under a minute and immediately arrested three of the teens running away. One of the suspects, 16, was armed with a knife.
The fourth suspect, also 16, armed with a gun, fled through Cal Anderson Park and was quickly apprehended by police.
Officers determined that the suspects assaulted the victim and stole his money while armed with a firearm.
Police booked all four suspects, ages 13-16, into juvenile detention at the Judge Patrica H. Clark Children & Family Justice Center.
Charges include:
- Robbery 1st Degree
- Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
- Alteration of Identifying Marks (Firearm)
- Resisting Arrest
- Obstructing a Public Officer
One of the suspects, 15, had an arrest warrant for Escape and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The 13 year old had a warrant for Assault.
Detectives in the Robbery Unit are assigned to this case.
