#2025-198789/West Precinct/Third Watch/M3:
At 0253 hours, SDOT employees discovered recent bullet damage to a business in the 1400 block of 3rd Ave. After they also discovered shell casings and bullet fragments, they called over officers assisting with the nightly clean. Witnesses reported hearing possible shots approximately 20 minutes prior, but no 911 calls were made. RTCC was not staffed at the time, but a suspect description was provided to them via email for possible evidence retrieval. GVRU notified via email.
#2025-198985/East Precinct/First Watch/E3:
At 0859 hours, uniformed officers responded to a reported Robbery at the Safeway 2201-E. Madison St. The LPO’s attempted to stop the male suspect who had taken possession of several Laundry Detergent containers and Air Fragrance valued over $150. The suspect Assaulted/punched the victim LPO in the head when they attempted to stop and detain him. Officers arrived on scene shortly thereafter and the suspect was pointed out to officers by the LPO’s. When officers were then making contact to take the suspect into custody the suspect slapped the officers arm away to prevent being handcuffed. The officer did not sustain any reportable injuries. The suspect fled on foot and a foot pursuit ensued for approx two blocks. the subject was located hiding in some bushes and was taken into custody. SFD responded to the scene to treat the subject for some prior injuries. Subject was transported to HMC for medical eval. Incident screened by 241. Subject will be booked onto KCJ once cleared medically.
#2025-198809/Southwest Precinct/First Watch/W3:
At 0349 hours, Officers responded to a reported commercial burglary. The call stated that a naked male broke out the front window of a business, climbed inside, deployed a fire extinguisher inside the business, and then left with the extinguisher. The caller noted that the subject was bloody from climbing through the broken glass. The suspect was gone when Officers arrived. A short time later and nearby, 911 received a call of a naked bloody male sitting on the stairs of an apartment complex. Officers arrived and observed the suspect who had a large rock in their hand. Officers attempted to contact them from a distance, but the suspect would not engage. Several Officers cross dispatched to assist. Containment was set and a HNT Officer was present. After about 45 minutes of attempted engagement, the suspect pulled a fire alarm and approached Officers with the rock still in hand. A type 2 UOF occurred and suspect was taken into custody. Suspect was transported to HMC for their injuries and still under guard at this time. Suspect arrested for burglary. Unit 251 and Car 25 notified.
#2025-199446/North Precinct/Second Watch/U3:
At 1623 hours, a protest event was reported by patrol. A supervisor responded to observe the event. The protest was directed against ICE, Elon Musk, and other current political issues. The group was recognized as a group that frequently conducts protests in the North Precinct and has never caused any issues or disturbances. On this date the group was waving signs and flags, and at one point had a drummer, but was not blocking/impeding any vehicle or pedestrian traffic, or confronting anyone. Supervisor determined no SPD monitoring was warranted and units cleared. UWPD notified for info.
#2025-199613/West Precinct/Second Watch/D3:
At 1905 hours, Officers were dispatched to a suicidal person on the ledge of a garage. Officers arrived and tried to establish a dialogue with the subject. The subject remained on the ledge while Officers talked to him. After a period of time, the subject began hanging from the ledge. Seattle Fire moved in and took ahold of the subject. They rappelled down to the ground with the subject. During the negotiation, the subject threw a chair and hit an Officer. He was arrested for Assault 3.
#2025-199522/East Precinct/Second Watch/C1:
At 1735 hours, Officers responded to a call of a man throwing rocks at pedestrians and cars. There were multiple 911 calls reporting that cars had been struck and one driver said that their window had been broken and they had glass in their eye. Officers located the suspect near the 1000 block of E Aloha St and engaged in a foot pursuit of the suspect. Officers apprehended the suspect after a type 2 UOF. The suspect assaulted one officer by kicking, another with a butane torch lighter and a 3rd officer was assaulted by spitting. The suspect also made threats to kill the officers. The suspect was transported to HMC for evaluation. The involved officers needed basic first aid and were not taken to the hospital. The suspect was later booked into HMC. FIT screened this call.
