Seattle police officers arrested a suspected drug dealer in Belltown yesterday afternoon.
On July 22, at about 2:00 p.m., officers patrolling the 100 block of Blanchard Street saw a man holding suspected narcotics in his hand, and believed he was selling drugs. The plastic baggie in his hand looked like “large amounts of a white powdery rocklike substance that had the appearance of crack cocaine or powdered fentanyl,” according to the police report.
When the suspect saw the police, he attempted to flee, but officers quickly caught him and arrested him. Police recovered:
- 7.9g Crack Cocaine
- 6.8g powered Fentanyl
- $650.49 cash
Officers processed the evidence at the West Precinct and booked the 40-year-old suspect into the King County Jail for Sale and Delivery of Synthetic Narcotics.
Detectives in the Narcotics Unit will be assigned to this case.
