#2025-212381/North Precinct/First Watch/B1:
At 0017 hours, there was a report of nine persons fight and associated shooting in the 100 block of Broadway. Officers arrived on scene and determined that a green vehicle fled to Yesler with suspects inside. Officers located the vehicle entering a garage around 6th Ave S and Yesler and conducted a high-risk stop. Investigation revealed the following: Vehicle occupant (male) and his girlfriend went to an apartment of the male’s ex-girlfriend and her family and friends. Male suspect struck ex-girlfriend in the face. He then fled in vehicle before officers contacted him. During his flight, an unknown person emerged from an unknown location and fired 1-2 rifle rounds at fleeing suspect. Officers detained a possible suspect in the shooting, but he was released shortly after. Suspect in the DV assault arrested for DV A4 and evidence was recovered.
#2025-212834/South Precinct/Second Watch/S3:
At 1330 hours, officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 9600 block of 54 S between metro flex driver and passenger. Passenger became upset because of the route the driver was taking and threatened to harm the driver and used biased language directed at the driver. At one point, the passenger exited the vehicle, and a confrontation ensued. The driver feared for his safety and believed the threats of harm was based on his race. Subject was placed under arrest for harassment. Subject transported to KCJ, medically declined and transported to HMC.
#2025-213310/East Precinct/Third Watch/E2:
At 2303 hours, broadcast for a shooting at Cal Anderson Park. Officers quickly arrived and located an injured man who was assaulted in the park. Investigation and witnesses revealed that a group of juveniles on scooters had come to the park and had been seen casing potential victims. When they attacked the victim, the group of 6 to 7 people started assaulting him with their hands and feet and displayed what was described as a realistic BB gun before firing it at the victim, who was on the ground. The victim had his phone and keys stolen. The juvenile suspects fled on scooters. Park security took video of the incident, and despite a thorough area check, suspects not located.
