At 0106 hours, just after 1am, a caller reported that he had been carjacked by two suspects who brandished firearms and stole his vehicle at 31st Ave S and S Irving St. Officers from East and South responded to the area and tracked the victim’s stolen phone to a nearby street where it was located. The vehicle was not located, and entered as stolen. Further investigation revealed that the victim had driven from Lynwood to Seattle under the auspices of delivering liquor to a 14 or 15 year old female. It is believed her accomplices committed the crime when he arrived at a location she had set. 223 notified.
#2025-221161/East Precinct/Third Watch/C2:
At 0118 hours, several callers reported hearing shots in the area of Miller Park at 19th Ave E and E Harrison St. Responding officers located two shell casings, but no victims, property damage, or direct witnesses. Callers reported hearing a vehicle leaving the area after the shots. Patrol processed scene. 223 notified.
#2025-221747/East Precinct/Second Watch/C1:
At 1447 hours, officers responded to a report of malicious harassment in the vicinity of 13th Avenue East and East John Street. The victim reported that he was wearing a political hat when he was approached outside his apartment complex by a tenant from the same building. The suspect stated, “You know you’re not supposed to wear that hat around here.” Following this, the suspect physically assaulted the victim and took his hat. The victim believed he was targeted due to his political ideology. He did not know which apartment unit the suspect lived in. The primary officer conducted a thorough investigation, and bias crime alert emails were issued.
#2025-222275/West Precinct/Third Watch/M3:
At 2350 hours, Seattle Fire Department Aid 2 was flagged down about a male with a stab wound in Westlake Park. Victim stated he got into a physical fight with a man who was harassing a group of girls in the park when another man stabbed him. Victim transported to HMC via AMR with non-life-threatening injuries. There appears that there is likely more to the incident than what was revealed to officers. Area check for suspect was negative. Incident screened with 213, PIO.
