#2025-229116/South Precinct/Third Watch/R1:

At 0052 hours, victim called 911 stating that two suspects had broken the window to the residence and gained entry. One suspect was detained at the scene inside of the residence, but fled when he heard sirens approaching. An officer observed the suspect fleeing on a bicycle and was able to detain him. The suspect had previously broken into 3 other residences on the same evening, but had fled those scenes prior to the arrival of law enforcement.

#2025-229560/North Precinct/Second Watch/L3:

At 1217 hours, officers responded to a call of a juvenile teenager who was reported by his mother as possibly suicidal. The suspect had threatened to “beat-up” his mother who had been trying to convince him to come with her. Officers located the suspect on a Metro bus. The first arriving officer attempted to speak with the juvenile but was assaulted, being struck in the face by the suspect. With additional officers on-scene the suspect was arrested. During the arrest he resisted, resulting in additional injury to the officer he initially assaulted. Suspect taken into custody without reportable force, and booked into YSA for Assault-3rd Degree. Additional charges to be requested.

#2025-229449/East Precinct/Second Watch/C2:

At 1300 hours, Officers responded to a man threatening apartment staff in the 1700 block of 17 Ave. Officers arrived and spoke to staff and established probable cause to arrest the suspect who lived on an upper floor of the apartment complex. Officers were able to contact the suspect in the hallway outside their apartment. When they attempted to make the arrest the suspect became combative and a taser was deployed. The Taser was not effective and the suspect was able to get inside their apartment and became barricaded. Officers continued to communicate with the suspect while backup officers arrived. The suspect exited the apartment along with another occupant. the suspect and the occupant were refusing all verbal commands but moved far enough away from the apartment door that a second team of officers were able to approach them from behind. Both were arrested. A type 2 use of force was completed and a hazard report was completed for the suspect.
