#2025-321091/East Precinct/Third Watch/K2:
At 0137 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers in the area of the 300 BLK of 2 AV S heard the sounds of gunfire originating from the parking lot nearby. When they arrived the cleared the parking lot and located multiple FCCs and 2 damaged vehicles. Witnesses were able to provide a description of one of the shooters, as well as the vehicle that he left in. A cursory area-check was conducted, however the suspect nor his vehicle were located. A nearby Tesla captured footage of the shooting with its onboard security system. The owner of that Tesla provided Officers with that footage. The footage clearly captured one of the shooters, the shooter who was previously described by witnesses. Approximately 1 hour later a security guard flagged down officers who were still in the area and reported that the suspect was in a nearby alley with his vehicle. Officers responded to the alley and located the suspect. The suspect was detained and his vehicle seized. An additional vehicle that the suspect had access to in the alley was also seized. Both vehicles were transported to the VPR pending a search warrant. The suspect was arrested for Drive-by Shooting as well as Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a prohibited person.
