Seattle police officers arrested a 33-year-old man, armed with a knife and a hatchet, in possession of Meth and Cocaine in Downtown Seattle last night.
On Dec. 2, at about 6:20 p.m., officers proactively patrolling an alleyway behind the Smith Tower near the 500 block of Yesler Way, found a man trespassing.
According to the police report, “The alleyway in question had a large sign posted on the south entrance declaring it was closed to members of the public, and a fence blocking the north entrance.”
While speaking to the man, officers saw a small plastic “dime bag” with white powder, believed to be a controlled substance.
Officers arrested him without incident and recovered Methamphetamine, Cocaine, a knife, a hatchet, and drug paraphernalia.
Police transported the suspect to the King County Jail, yet the jail staff declined him booking for medical reasons. Officers took him to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation and released him from police custody.
Officers referred criminal charges to the Seattle City Attorney’s Office for Criminal Trespass, Narcotics Possession, and Unlawful Use of Weapons.
