At 2021 hours, the parties involved were enjoying the swimming pool of a downtown hotel when the intoxicated suspect made an inflammatory comment to the victim. This led to a large argument during which the suspect used bias language and assaulted the victim. The victim felt the assault was motivated by the suspect’s perception of his National Origin. Suspect arrested for Malicious Harassment. 213 screened.

At 2006 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of multiple shots heard. Police arrived and found one bullet had gone through a house window and into the interior wall, no injuries were reported. Officers outside the residence located evidence, and a separate crime scene a few blocks away where a vehicle was also struck. There were several witnesses and security cameras in the area that observed an involved gray sedan. Evidence was collected at the scene.
