At 0420 hours, officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area of 15th Avenue and East Howell Street. Several callers indicated that they witnessed multiple individuals fighting near the intersection, and one person was seen firing a gun into the air. Witnesses later reported observing a black sedan traveling southbound on 15th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found two female individuals near a white sedan. The officers detained these subjects, but they stated that they did not see anything related to the incident. After releasing them, officers discovered shell casings on 15th Avenue near East Howell Street. Additionally, a witness provided officers with video footage. The video showed the occupants of the white sedan and the black sedan involved in a physical altercation. Shortly thereafter, a male from the black sedan was seen firing multiple rounds into the air. No victims or property damage were reported at the scene. GVRU was notified.

At 0617 hours, an incident occurred in the area of Minor Av N and John St. SFD and SPD were dispatched to a burning vehicle. SPD Officers spoke to an RP who stated that he saw a suspicious vehicle next to the burning vehicle before it sped off. SFD Fire Marshall was on scene. SFD advised that they will contact SPD ABS for any follow-up investigation. The victim’s vehicle was severely damaged and towed away. R/O was not located at this time.

At 2013 hours, 911 received numerous calls about shots heard in the area. Officers located evidence in the middle of the roadway in the 3900 block of Cheasty Blvd S. Homeowner in area observed a dark vehicle leave the area after the shots were heard. No property damage observed, and no injuries were discovered or reported at the time. Patrol photographed and collected evidence from the scene. GVRU notified.
