#2025-381073/North Precinct/Third Watch/L3:
At 0236 hours, officers were dispatched to a negligent discharge of a firearm. The person purchased a new firearm and accidently shot himself in the arm and hand. The bullet was lodged in the wall and no one else was hurt. SFD arrived on scene and he was transported to the hospital. The firearm was recovered and placed in evidence for safe keeping.
#2025-381711/South Precinct/Second Watch/R3:
At 1922 hours, officers were dispatched to an assault call. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the 5 victims. The victims stated that the suspect had entered the restaurant and was upset with them because of their race. The suspect proceeded to flip tables and throw plates and glasses at the victims. The suspect slapped one of the victims and then fled the scene. The suspect was not located.
#2025-Southwest Precinct/Third Watch/F2:
At 2257 hours, officers heard the sound of gunfire in the 2800 block of Sw Thistle St. Officers immediately responded to the area, where heavy fog prevented them from getting accurate descriptions of the fleeing vehicles. However, inspecting the area from which they fled, officers found multiple shell casings, which they said were likely fired from a ‘switch’ based on what they heard, as well as one unspent round. The evidence was photographed. GVRU was notified.
