Seattle police officers recovered an illegal weapon from a 35-year-old man in Downtown Seattle this weekend.
On Jan. 3, at about 5:00 a.m., patrol officers saw a man in the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue armed with a knife. The man cooperated with police while being detained.
Officers “removed the handle from his pocket, revealing a large fixed-blade knife with a handle comprised of brass knuckles,” according to the police report.
Officers identified the suspect as a convicted felon with a violent person caution. They seized the knife as evidence and released the man when they completed their investigation.
Police recommended criminal charges to the City Attorney’s Office for Unlawful Use of Weapons.
