#2026-17786/East Precinct/Second Watch/G2:
At 1200 hours, a group of approximately 5,000 people gathered at Garfield High School. The group then marched from the high school to the Federal building on 2nd Avenue. The march was escorted by the Traffic Unit and Patrol task force. CRG also assisted traffic with escorting the march. WSP and Bellevue PD bike units provided mutual aid. P.O.E.T. was on scene and marched with the group. The march went well, there were no reported assaults or property damage. The demonstrators began to disperse at approximately 1630 hours. This event was peaceful and no arrests were made.
#2026-18136/West Precinct/Second Watch/K3:
At 1537 hours, officers were in the area of 12th Ave S/S Jackson St when a call came out regarding a subject who pointed a gun at a male. Officers located the caller who provided a description and direction of travel. Officers located the suspect and gave him orders to surrender he initially refused claiming to be a “federal agent” but was taken into custody without incident. The gun was found to be stolen; the suspect was booked into KCJ for Possession of a stolen firearm, obstruction and unlawful use of a weapon to intimidate.
#2026-18248/West Precinct/Second Watch/Q2:
At 1832 hours, officers responded to a call of a DV Disturbance where the stepson was outside trying to force his way into a home in the Queen Anne area of the West Precinct. Once inside, the subject committed assaults on the victims and fled on foot. Officers responded and the subject was located after trying to force entry to an occupied nearby business and committing harassment on a passerby. He was given verbal commands but failed to comply. He was apprehended after a Type II UOF was implemented. He was treated by SFD on scene, transported to KCJ where he was booked for felony burglary. Charges are being requested for DV Assault 4 and Harassment.
