An over-excited, 40-something sports fan got arrested Sunday evening after climbing down onto Lumen Field with a beverage-in-hand and strolled out onto the football field.
On Jan 25, just after the Seahawks beat the Rams 31 – 27, the man, carrying a suspected alcoholic beverage, ignored the rules and defiantly climbed down the metal railing and walked right onto the grass.
The gridiron, filled with football players, coaches, and game staff is off-limits to fans during the games. Trespassing onto the field is strictly off-limits.
Allied Security guards working the game escorted the intoxicated man off of the field and straight into the handcuffs of Seattle police officers for making physical contact with a coach.
According to the police report, the suspect, “showed all the typical signs of being intoxicated,” including slurred speech and alcohol on his breath.
Officers investigated and released the suspect. Detectives assigned to the case referred criminal charges to the City Attorney’s Office.
The suspect is now trespassed and banned from Lumen Field.
Undeterred by this drunken foul play, the Seahawks are on their way to Superbowl LX to face off against the Patriots.
Go Hawks!
