Seattle Police Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in investigating the murder of a man in Pioneer Square last week.
Police are asking for any video recorded inside or near the garage, in the 500 block of 2nd Avenue. Investigators are looking for cell phone video recorded during Feb. 1 shootings or any video recorded inside the garage the evening of Jan. 31.
“We are seeking any information that may help identify those responsible for this senseless act of violence. If you have information, no matter how small, please come forward and share it.” Assistant Chief of Investigations Nicole Powell said, “The impact of this tragedy is profound, and we are committed to pursuing justice, and we will not rest until it is achieved.”
On Feb. 1, four people were shot inside the parking garage. The gunfire broke out around 1:30 a.m. at the notable multi-level parking structure known as the “Sinking Ship” garage.
One man was killed and three others were treated at Harborview Medical Center. Anyone with information is asked to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000. Anonymous tips are accepted.

Seattle police detectives are investigating a homicide in Downtown Seattle this morning.
At about 1:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 500 block of 2nd Avenue at the Sinking Ship parking garage. There, they found a man with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
A second victim suffered life-threatening injuries. SFD treated and transported him to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) in critical condition.
SFD treated a third victim with a graze wound and transported her to HMC in stable condition. A fourth victim showed up at the hospital with a graze wound from gunfire. She is also in stable condition.
Detectives determined that a physical fight broke out in the parking garage, which led to a gunfight between multiple people. No suspects are in custody at this time.
Two people were arrested following disturbances at the scene afterwards.
Police cordoned off the area until the Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units arrived to process the scene. The King County Medical Examiner will take custody of the deceased.
