#2026-48383/West Precinct/First Watch/D3:
At 0201 hours, Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in West Precinct that was taken during a robbery. The vehicle subsequently began eluding southbound and a pursuit was authorized. The pursuit continued southbound thru South Precinct, Southwest Precinct, Burien, then Des Moines, where it ended after the front left tire shredded and the vehicle became undrivable. A HRVS was conducted and the driver and front passenger were taken into custody without incident. It was determined the driver was involved in the initial robbery and theft of the vehicle. The driver was arrested for theft of motor vehicle, robbery, and eluding. Front passenger was ID’d and released after no PC was developed for the incident. King County Sheriff and Des Moines assisted in the pursuit. 213 was on scene.
#2026-52854/South Precinct/First Watch/S3:
At 1114 hours, SFD was on scene at 9400 Rainier Ave S for an apartment fire. The fire was contained to the laundry room and was put out by the built-in sprinkler system. Fire Marshall 5 responded to the scene and determined it was an arson. The fire was set by an unknown person from the fourth-floor laundry room. The sprinklers activated on floors 1-4 which caused thousands of dollars’ worth of flood damage. There were no injuries. There are cameras inside the building, but footage was not available for patrol. FM5 advised he would notify ABS.
