#2026-53552/East Precinct/First Watch/E2:
At 0420 hours, officers responded to an assault call in the area of Minor Ave and Pike Street at a nearby apartment complex. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for two counts of Assault 4. Officers placed the suspect into custody. While attempting to place the suspect in the back of the patrol vehicle, the suspect forcefully kicked one of the officers in the chest. The officer experienced sharp sudden pain to the chest area but did not require any further medical treatment. The suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for Assault 3rd Degree. 242 notified, and a hazard report was completed.
