#2026-56925/South Precinct/First Watch/R3:

At 1003 hours, while in the area, a SGT was flagged down outside a business located at 4412 Rainier AV S for a shoplift that had just occurred. The business employee showed the SGT who had just shoplifted as they were walking down the sidewalk away from the business. Upon Contact, the suspect attempted to flee. A struggle ensued and a city-wide help was broadcasted. Additional resources arrived and the suspect was placed into custody. Type 1 force was used, and no Officers were injured during the incident.

#2026-57167/East Precinct/Second Watch/E2:

At 1500 hours, a suspected serial robbery suspect entered the Walgreens, demanded three prepaid credit cards be activated, showed a black gun in his waistband. The clerk refused and the suspect left westbound on Pine St. Containment was set, K-9 requested and an extensive area check was conducted. K-9 was not available, containment was cleared and further area check was conducted but the suspect was not located.

#2026-57026/North Precinct/Second Watch/L2:

At 1200 hours, the Northgate Target called requesting SPD remove a group of around 50 protesters holding a demonstration in front of their store on private property, an Anti-ICE protest. I coordinated with their leadership and with Target management and came to a resolution. The protesters were willing to end their demonstration at 1300 hours and they were peaceful. This incident was screened with 222.

#2026-57095/West Precinct/Second Watch/M1:

At 1430 hours, demonstrators gathered at Pike Place to protest against the current political environment and recent military activities. 150-200 people were there giving speeches and waving signs. Eventually, they took to the streets and marched around the area. Patrol resources were utilized for Traffic Light to assist the demonstrators. After their loop, the demonstrators returned to their starting location and dispersed without incident. 211 was on scene monitoring.

#2026-57298/East Precinct/Second Watch/E3:

At 1813 hours, the victim was moving a scooter and other garbage out of the street when a car full of young people, pulled over. One of them exited, began punching the victim, then stabbed the victim’s right arm. The suspect got back into the vehicle, and it fled northbound on Boren. Patrol officers quickly arrived and applied first aid until SFD arrived and took over medical care. The injury is not life threatening. RTCC assisted in trying to locate video of the suspects, and officers conducted an extensive search, however it was not successful. The suspect vehicle was last seen W/B on Maddison St.

#2026-57462/East Precinct/Third Watch/C1:

At 2200 hours, Nightlife was a busy night tonight despite the fridged temperature. With heavy foot traffic at the clubs in the Pike corridor, officers were able to successfully, effectively and safely manage approximately 1000 people excited to party. Officers responded to multiple disturbances and made arrests for traffic, assault 4 and two assault 3’s. No officers were injured effecting the arrests. A great job done by all those present for nightlife.
