At 1200 hours, the Defense Suppliers Summit was occurring at the Convention Center. Approximately 200 participants gathered and conducted speeches and played music. David-80 units were on scene and monitored. The demonstration was peaceful and no issues arose.
#2026-74785/West Precinct/Second Watch/M1:
At 1348 hours, officers were dispatched to an assault in the Downtown area. According to the victim he and his organization were on a public sidewalk handing out religious fliers. An unknown male confronted them and assaulted two members in the religious group. The male suspect fled the area before police arrived. Victims believed they were targeted due to their religion. Victims did not sustain any serious injuries.
