Seattle police detectives are investigating a homicide in Capitol Hill yesterday afternoon.
On March 24, at 4:10 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a man dead in the 1600 block of Melrose Avenue. There, officers found a 39-year-old man inside of an apartment with multiple puncture wounds.
The Seattle Fire Department arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. Police cordoned off the area until the Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation Units responded to process the scene.
The King County Medical Examiner took custody of the body. Their office will determine the cause and manner of death and will identify the victim.
No suspect information is known at this time. The circumstances leading up to the homicide are under investigation.
