#2026-85474/West Precinct/Third Watch/K2:

At 0057 hours, officers were on a premise near a pioneer square nightclub when they observed a large disturbance occurring between club security and a female patron who was being ejected. Officers intervened to separate the female from security and encourage her to leave the area. The female punched an officer in the face. The officer punched the female in her face and took her to the ground to arrest her. The female’s husband intervened and tackled the arresting officer off of the female suspect and a fight ensued. Backing officers used type II force on the male suspect as well as strikes to take him into custody. The female escaped. Male suspect subsequently booked into KCJ for assault 3, resisting arrest, obstruction and possession of narcotics. Officer suffered minor injuries. Hazard report completed. Screened with 243.

#2026-85848/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch/W2:

At 1257 hours, Officers were dispatched to 35th Av SW and SW Alaska Street for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival Officers located 3 victims with significant injuries. One of the victims reported multiple suspects went to the victim’s tent and deployed a fire extinguisher inside. The occupants of the tent exited and while doing so were struck in the back of the head with a crowbar and a fire extinguisher. While on the ground the suspects went through the victims’ pockets and told them to give them all they had. A k9 track led to a tent in a nearby encampment that patrol learned belonged to one of the suspects. A Search Warrant was written for the tent and SPD SWAT responded and served a warrant but did not locate anyone inside. The SPD Robbery unit responded to the scene and to HMC where the victims were interviewed. As of writing this, two of the victims are in critical condition and the third is in stable condition.

#2026-85933/East Precinct/Second Watch/C1:

At 1430 hours, In the afternoon, officers responded to a subject in crisis. They had locked out the resident of the unit. They were experiencing severe delusions and paranoia. Officers responded and developed ITA criteria. Officers were unable to establish productive dialogue, and the subject was non-compliant. The incident was screened with HNT and a lack of governmental interest prevented further contact with the subject. Later, after clearing the original call, another caller reported that the same subject had broken into the apartment building. Officers developed PC for felony property destruction and burglary. Officers made a second attempt at contact with the subject in the unit. A large amount of blood was observed from an injury that was apparently sustained during the property destruction. A welfare check for the injured subject was conducted in the unit. The subject was found deceased several stories below. 243 was on scene. This incident was screened with HNT, FIT, Media.
