A 25-year-old man was arrested for stabbing a 58-year-old man during an altercation Thursday evening in the Cherry Hill neighborhood
At 6:08 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 1100 block of 16th Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the victim in a parking lot with multiple stab wounds to the torso and arm. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported the man to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Officers located the suspect nearby. He had a self-inflected laceration to his hand.
The investigation revealed the two men were involved in an altercation shortly before the stabbing.
Police transported the suspect to Harborview Medical Center, where he is awaiting medical clearance. Once cleared, he will be booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.
Homicide and Assault Unit detectives are leading the investigation and will work to determine what led to the incident.
