Detectives Seek Public Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspect

Seattle police detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man responsible for a violent robbery in Pioneer Square two weeks ago.

On March 26 at about 3:35 p.m., patrol officers responded to a robbery at the Saveway Market in the 100 block of Occidental Avenue South. There, officers determined that a man assaulted two employees when stealing a glass wine bottle.

The suspect struck the victims with the bottle during the robbery. The first victim, 27, sustained significant facial injuries. The second victim, 35, sustained significant head trauma. The man fled the area on foot before police arrived and they could not find him.

The suspect appears to be a black male about 20-30 years old. He has a slim build and stands about 5’9” tall. At the time of the robbery, he wore a white t-shirt as a head cap, a white face mask, a white long sleeve shirt with a rectangular logo on the front, black sweatpants, and black athletic shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000. Anyone who sees him in person is asked to call 911.

Do not confront this individual without the police. He should be considered assaultive and dangerous.
