At 1137 hours, officers arrived and observed and identified an assault suspect via RTCC and a booking photo. Officers along with k9 approached and took the suspect into custody without incident. During search incident to arrest, officers recovered a firearm, along with cash, Fentanyl, methamphetamine and crack cocaine. The suspect was found to be a convicted felon from another state for past narcotic charges with firearms. The suspect was booked King County Jail.

At 1517 hours, officers were called to an altercation that led to a fist fight outside of a supermarket. One of the participants decided to escalate by pulling out a handgun and shooting the other in the thigh. The suspect then jumped into his vehicle and left northbound on Brooklyn Avenue Northeast, then headed west toward I-5. The victim was tended to by the supermarket staff, pending the arrival of SFD. The victim then decided to leave and got into his vehicle and also left northbound on Brooklyn. Neither the victim nor the suspect was located. Witnesses were interviewed, surveillance video was watched, and evidence was recovered.
