Police Investigate Stabbing in Lake City  

Seattle police are investigating a stabbing that left a 26-year-old man critically injured early Friday morning in the Lake City neighborhood.

At about 2:31 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing near Northeast 130th Street and 30th Avenue Northeast. Officers arrived and found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his torso and leg. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The investigation revealed the victim had left a nearby bar and was involved in a physical altercation shortly before the stabbing. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Detectives with the Homicide and Assault Unit are leading the investigation and are working to determine what led up to the assault.
