#2026-131059/South Precinct/Second Watch/R2

At 2224 hours, GIU Detectives and South Patrol officers conducted a joint organized retail theft operation at Lowes. Detectives teamed with loss prevention representatives to identify and apprehend suspects. Numerous suspects were arrested for shoplifting and hundreds of dollars in stolen merchandise were recovered.  

#2026-132589/West Precinct/Second Watch/K2

At 1622 hours, officers responded to the 1000 block of 6th Ave South for a fight call involving a weapon. It was reported that the suspect was walking in the area and encountered the victim when an argument ensued. The suspect produced a sharp metal glass breaker during the physical fight but was disarmed by a passerby. The victim proceeded to punch the suspect in the face and head multiple times causing injuries to the suspect. Officers arrived, arrested the suspect and recovered the glass breaker. The suspect was treated on scene by SFD, transported to HMC for additional medical attention and was later booked at King County Jail for Felony Harassment.  

#2026-132975/South Precinct/Third Watch/S1

At 2347 hours, calls started coming into 911 regarding shots having been heard. Officers located evidence on 32nd Avenue South just south of South Brighton Street. No victims or damaged property were located. A possible suspect vehicle was seen by one of the callers. GVRU was notified and South Patrol processed the scene.

#2026-132931/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch/W1

At 2247 hours, a suspect, who was in custody for DUI, was taken to an area hospital for a blood draw pursuant to a warrant. Prior to the blood draw, during an escort back to an exam room from a restroom, the suspect intentionally and purposefully reared back her leg and assaulted the escorting officer. She was eventually brought back under control. The officer was evaluated at the same hospital and found to have no injuries.
