Armed Motorcyclist Arrested During Traffic Stop, Drugs Recovered

Seattle police officers arrested a 31-year man during a traffic stop in South Seattle, and recovered drugs, narcotics equipment, and a handgun.

On May 19 at about 9:30 p.m., patrol officers in the 3400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way South spotted a motorcycle violating traffic laws. During the stop, officers found more violations and recovered 37g of methamphetamine, 19.1g grams of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun.

The suspect, a denied firearm applicant, is not legally allowed to have guns.

Officers impounded the bike, arrested the suspect, and booked him into the King County Jail for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession with intent to deliver narcotics.

Detectives in the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are assigned to this case.
