#2026-146501/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch/F1:
At 0200 hours, on Memorial Day, at about 0200 hours, two suspects attempted to break into a convenience store in the 1600 block of SW Holden St, by throwing fireplace logs through the window, causing thousands of dollars’ worth of damage. The suspects in this instance appear to have been the same suspects in 2026-146168 and 2026-146355, which also occurred nearby earlier in the day. See those reports for descriptions. Surveillance footage may be available.
#2026-146523/North Precinct/Third Watch/N3:
At 0236 hours, multiple callers reported several shots fired in various locations from south of N 105 Street between Dayton Av N and Aurora Av N, as far south as N 90th Street. After extensive searching, Officers located multiple shell casings in the 9300 blk of Aurora Av N. No victims were located and none came forward as of the time of this SIR. No property damage was located. GVRU was notified and the casings were collected and submitted into evidence.
#2026-146513/North Precinct/Third Watch/J2:
At 0221 hours, call came out as a “Street Racing” call, but callers said that the racing hadn’t started yet. 20-30 people were out of their cars and in the street. Multiple Officers arrived and discovered approximately 30 cars parked in the center two-way left turn lane, unoccupied. 30 to 50 people were milling about in the street and on the sidewalk. Warnings that the illegally parked vehicles were going to be towed if they were not moved went mostly unheeded. Multiple cars were impounded to Lincoln and one of the unoccupied illegally parked vehicles had a pistol inside the vehicle in plain view. This vehicle was taken to the Precinct where a warrant will be sought to seize the firearm.
#2026-146610/South Precinct/First Watch/S3:
At 0629 hours, two employees at the Rainier Beach Safeway were involved in a disturbance. One worker slashed the other with a pocketknife causing non-life-threatening injuries to his head/face. The suspect drove away from scene in a grey hatchback. The victim was transported to HMC via AMR. Patrol responded to suspect’s home, and he was not located there. Suspect and vehicle photo sent out via department email. 231 responded to scene.
#2026-144638/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch/F1:
At 1129 hours, officers responded to the 6500 Block High Point Dr SW recovering multiple shell casings with three parked/unoccupied vehicles damaged from the shots. GVRU screened, casings were recovered/placed into evidence and photos of the scene were captured via AXON. Video was recovered of a dark sedan driving SB on Sylvan Wy SW prior to the report of shots; however, it is unknown if related at this time. Incident may have occurred on 5/22/26 around 2315 hours after patrol received a report of shots in the area.
#2026-146882/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch/F2:
At 1218 hours, a witness on-viewed a male suspect assaulting a female in the Westwood Village McDonalds parking lot. When the male suspect was confronted by the witness, he left the area on a bicycle. Officers responded and interviewed the victim, finding she was the protected person in a DV No Contact Order with the suspect listed as the Respondent. During the event, the suspect also strong arm robbed the victim of several items (keys, purse). An area check for the suspect provided negative results.
