Detectives Investigating Shooting at Pathway Park in Hawthorne Hills Neighborhood

Seattle police are investigating a shooting on June 15 in Hawthorne Hills neighborhood that left two adults seriously injured.  

At about 8:53 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired near the 5200 block of Mithun Place Northeast (Pathways Park). Shortly after, officers received an update that someone had been shot in the leg.

Officers arrived and found a 39-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her right ankle and a 41-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right thigh. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported both victims to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.

The investigation revealed that there was a fight disturbance involving several people inside Pathway Park, shortly before the shooting.  

No suspect was located.

Detectives with the Gun Violence Reduction Unit will be leading the investigation and will work to determine what led to the shooting.
