At 1411 hours, officers responded to a shooting in the 13700 block of Midvale AV N. Upon arrival, an Officer witnessed a suspect firing a gun in the air. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle, while out of the Officer’s sight. Additional Officers arrived and attempted to contain the area. A victim was located and probable cause was established for Assault 1 and Drive-by shooting. The possible suspect called in stating he was in a fight in the area but did not fire a weapon. Officers were able to locate the suspect with vehicle information in Lynnwood. Lynnwood PD was notified while SPD responded to the probable suspect location. SPD arrived and found Lynnwood PD had full containment of the suspect’s location and vehicle. SPD took over the scene. Officers contacted the suspect by phone, and he agreed to come out. He was placed in custody. The suspect was later booked into KCJ for Assault 1 and Drive-by shooting. Officers served a search warrant on the suspect’s house and car. A pistol and other gun related items were obtained as evidence.

At 1230 hours, North Precinct bikes officers contacted a vehicle with a stolen plate near 143 / Aurora. The driver was placed under arrest for the stolen plate and other misdemeanor charges, and the passenger was arrested for VUCSA – PWI. Narcotics, a vehicle, several fake IDs and other evidence were seized.
