At 1413 hours, officers were conducting visible patrol in the Pike Place Market area when they were flagged down by a vendor reporting a theft. When officers located and contacted the group, one of the suspects assaulted an officer. A foot pursuit ensued and three suspects were taken into custody. The suspect that assaulted the officer was transported and booked into KCJ for felony assault and two other suspects were arrested for theft and obstruction. KCSO bicycle officers responded and assisted at the scene. The officer involved did not sustain any injuries.

At 2340 hours, two masked suspects entered the business. One suspect pointed a handgun at the clerk. The other suspect placed a chair in the door to prevent it from being locked. The suspects had gloves on. The suspects demanded the cash register be opened and the money be handed over. The suspects left the scene in a small sedan.
