#2026-181930/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch/F1

At 0319 hours, two suspects, one of them armed with a handgun with what appeared to be a drum magazine, used that weapon to rob a gas station in the 7100 block of Delridge Wy Sw. The suspects wore masks, gloves, and left in a darker colored sedan.

#2026-183215/Southwest Precinct/First Watch/W3

At 0649 hours, officers were dispatched to an occupied priority residential burglary in the 4000 block of 57th Avenue Southwest. The suspect was last seen leaving the scene on foot. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect nearby. Officers also determined the suspect also had an outstanding $10,000 SPD warrant for robbery. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and booked into KCJ.

At 0728 hours, the victim called into 911 to report that they were assaulted and stated that it was a hate crime. Officers arrived on scene near the 100 block of Northwest 85th Street to contact the victim. The victim stated he was waiting outside a nearby church to go inside when the suspect arbitrarily approached him and made a comment about his multicolored lanyard that was around and his neck and called him a homophobic slur. The suspect then assaulted the victim. The victim believes he was targeted because of his sexual orientation. The victim did not have the best description of the suspect because he was dazed after being struck. Medics responded to render aid to the victim, and he ultimately elected to be shuttled to a nearby hospital. Officers canvased the area for the suspect and potential video camera evidence.

At 1240 hours, officers responded to an occupied residential burglary. Victim/homeowner returned home and discovered an unknown male suspect inside of his home. The suspect threatened to kill the victim and told him to get out of the house. The victim managed to exit his home and call 911. Officers arrived and K9 arrived. With assistance from K9 the suspect was located inside of the home. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into King County Jail for Burglary. Further investigation revealed the patio door frame was broken, which appeared to be the access point for suspect.

#2026-183545/North Precinct/Second Watch/N3

At 1220 hours, an Aurora emphasis unit patrolling hotspots on the Aurora Avenue corridor observed a suspicious vehicle that was being seen at multiple known hotspots for drug dealing/shootings. Officers contacted the vehicle and occupant and immediately observed evidence of drug activity. Further investigation resulted in recovery of a handgun, which was illegal for the suspect to possess based on previous felony conviction. A drug scale and other drug paraphernalia were also recovered. The vehicle was seized pending a search warrant. Suspect was booked into KCJ.
