
Detectives are investigating a collision that left a 30-year-old man dead.
On Wednesday afternoon at 11:23 a.m., a witness called 911 to report a collision involving a motorcycle and a car. Simultaneously, a Seattle Fire Department Engine truck was driving by when they were flagged down by a group of people alerting them to an injured motorcyclist. Seattle Fire Department medics transported the man to Harborview Medical Center but he died shortly after. Police went to the collision scene at 6th Avenue West and West Nickerson Street to investigate the collision.
The driver of the car fled the scene and was not located.
Detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad will be conducting the follow-up investigation.
