At 0145 hours, an officer was booking a suspect into KCJ on DV related charges. While escorting the suspect into the facility the suspect assaulted the officer. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3.

At 0214 hours, dispatch received reports of a male having been shot. Upon officers’ arrival a male who had been shot in the left hip was discovered. The victim was initially mildly uncooperative but later reported that he was in his tent along 24 Av S when he was shot. Further investigation is needed. No shell casings were located, and it is still not known which tent belongs to the victim as witnesses were also uncooperative.

At 0220 hours, officers responded to reports of shots fired in a residential neighborhood. One caller told 911 that he saw muzzle flashes outside of his house. Officers arrived and located evidence, all relegated to the sidewalk, at the SW corner. No victims/damage were found in the area and no cameras were located. Witnesses stated that the shots came from a group of 3 males on the corner. GVRU was notified and approved of patrol processing the scene.

At 1356 hours, officers responded to an apartment building on the 1400 block of Minor Ave to investigate a stabbing. Officers arrived and located the victim waiting in the lobby. She had a laceration on her upper arm. Security footage showed the victim and the suspect (who was in a wheelchair) engaged in a verbal altercation. The suspect then approached the victim and slashed her arm with a utility knife/box cutter before going to her boyfriend’s apartment unit. SFD provided first aid at the scene and transported the victim to HMC. The victim only suffered from one laceration with minor/moderate bleeding; she was in stable condition. As officers reviewed security footage, live footage showed the suspect talking to someone in the hallway. Officers took her into custody without incident. She was transported by AMR to KCJ where she was booked for Investigation of Assault.

At 2228 hours, officers responded to shots heard in the area of 19 Ave / E Madison St. Officers arrived in the area and located evidence in the street on E Madison St. Officer did not locate any victims or damage to property in the area. Officer processed the scene and conducted areas check.
