At 1844 hours, dispatch broadcast a burglary in progress in the 3000 block of 63 AV SW. The caller stated their neighbor was armed with a knife and trying to get into their front door. Officers arrived in the area. It was updated that the suspect was now on her rooftop deck, which connects to the victim’s residence. The suspect had climbed onto the victim’s deck and was trying to enter their home from the roof. Officers were able to gain access to the rooftop deck through the victim’s residence and take the suspect into custody. The suspect Assaulted an officer during the arrest. She was booked into KCJ for Burglary 1st degree, Assault 3rd degree, and felony harassment. A 6-inch kitchen knife was recovered on the rooftop deck.

At 2120 hours, officers responded to a 911 call from shelter staff for a female client who was in significant crisis, trying to get hit by cars at a busy intersection during hours of darkness (26-259327). Officers managed to emergently detain the highly escalated woman, and AMR arrived for transport. As the team was loading the woman into the AMR, an escalated group of people (strangers to all parties) started yelling at them, demanding they let the woman go. One member threw a milkshake at the officers, and it struck the AMR EMT. Officers promptly arrested this individual, who admitted to targeting officers and escalating the encounter due to his frustrations.
